The Aviation workshop grew as activity of aviation school developed: originally insignificant number of workers has quickly increased to 25... 30 persons. After an aeronautic exhibition in view of the found out expediency of branch of aviation factory from carload on May, 27th, 1911 the aviation workshop in Riga has been closed, and since June is again open already vpeterburge at automobile garage RBVZ. Throughout summer of 1911 the new aviation workshop has constructed two airplanes ' Mariter ' (systems Farmana): one - by request of Military department, another - for OVF which have been handed over customers in Gatchina airdrome in August of the same year.

After that from Military department the order for a series ' farmanov ' and ' blerio ' has been received, in communication schem there was a necessity for transformation of a workshop for aviation factory. Thus the Aviation department RBVZ which has taken places on Stroganovsky quay has arisen in the spring of 1912. The order of Military department in 1911 and still bolshy its order ' Farmanov-16 ' and ' Nju-porov ' in 1912, and also the order of hydroairplanes Sea department has demanded fast development of material resources of aviation factory, its equipment turning and derevoobdelochnymi machine tools, the organisations of separate workshops.

As the main designer the student of the Kiev polytechnical institute I.I.Sikorsky who has begun the researches in aircraft still in 1909 and already in 1910 constructed airplane has been invited to aviation factory, shown good results on maneuvers of the Kiev military district.
